The Learning and Culture Administration in Nybro Municipality operates preschools, pre-primary classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, school childcare, upper secondary schools, and municipal adult education including Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and special education for adults. Within the administration, there is education in glasswork through the National Glass School in Pukeberg, as well as commissioned training and upper secondary vocational education. The Learning and Culture Administration is also responsible for libraries, cultural schools, cultural centers with cinemas, youth activities, and general cultural matters. The Learning and Culture Administration has over 850 employees and an annual budget of approximately 580 million kronor. The administration is organized into operational areas led by an operations manager for preschools, primary school, upper secondary school, and adult education respectively, as well as for the cultural unit. The administration is led by an administrative director who is also the school principal. This fall, we are expanding our organization with a new F-6 school growing from the ground up. We are now seeking a special education teacher with a focus on mathematics, language, reading, and writing development who wants to join us on our journey and preferably has experience teaching at the elementary level. DUTIES Your assignment will include teaching at both individual and group levels as well as documentation responsibility regarding investigations of special support and intervention plans. You are expected to mentor teachers in their teaching assignments and work for accessibility in the pedagogical, social, and physical learning environment so that students can reach as far as possible in accordance with the school's learning objectives. You are well familiar with assessment and evaluation tools. You should have the ability to work both strategically and operatively and have the ability to analyze various results and relate them to teaching quality. Certain development assignments may be included where you are also responsible for teacher professional development from a special education perspective. Depending on operational needs and subject qualifications, other teaching/assignments may be included temporarily or long-term. QUALIFICATIONS You must be a licensed special education teacher in mathematics and language, reading, and writing development. It is meritorious if you have education and experience in teaching Swedish as a Second Language (SFI). A police clearance certificate will be provided before employment.
