The Culture and Education Administration wants to offer the education, care, and inspiration that our small and large citizens need through different stages of life. The Culture and Education Administration consists of two departments - the School Department and the Preschool, Culture and Leisure Department. The School Department includes all school forms from preschool class to adult education as well as student health services. The Preschool Department includes all of the municipality's preschools and family day care providers, and Culture and Leisure consisting of the library, cultural school, and youth activities. We are now looking for a special education teacher for our adapted elementary school at the secondary level. Together with colleagues, you will help lead our adapted school programs so that each student achieves as far as possible in their knowledge development and preparation for adult life. Job Description As a special education teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting teaching and mentoring. You will be responsible for teaching students in a small group, in close collaboration with teacher's aides who are assigned to the group. With an inspiring and supportive approach, you contribute to students' learning, development, and confidence in the future. You guide and support the teacher's aides in daily work with students, and together you collaborate around students' knowledge development. We also have students who are integrated, where close collaboration with classroom teachers takes place. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has a special education teacher qualification. has experience working with this target group. has specialization in intellectual disabilities (meritorious). has knowledge of and/or experience with low-arousal interaction approaches (meritorious).
