At Arenaskolan, we are now seeking a special educator with a focus on intellectual disability (IF) who wants to become an important part of our adapted elementary school. The assignment is built on creating instruction that meets each student's strengths, needs, and future opportunities. About the Position As a special educator in our adapted elementary school, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction based on students' individual conditions and educational goals. You work closely with student assistants, colleagues, and student welfare services to create a cohesive and developmental school day for students. The assignment includes, among other things: planning and implementing instruction in adapted elementary school creating structured, accessible, and motivating learning environments using clarifying pedagogy and alternative forms of communication when needed guiding and collaborating with student assistants in pedagogical work contributing to the school's continued development and collegial learning. We are Looking for You as Someone Who: is a certified special educator with a focus on intellectual disability (IF) or has other education that the employer deems equivalent has experience with instruction in adapted elementary school has good ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians sees possibilities and adapts instruction based on students' needs is confident, solution-focused, and has clear pedagogical leadership enjoyed working together with others and contributing to a positive work environment.
