Welcome to us! Högåsskolan is an F-6 school with approximately 480 students and 70 employees in scenic Knivsta, right next to the Gredelby Hagar nature reserve. Our proximity to nature combined with our central location with short distances to commuter trains for quick access to Uppsala or Stockholm provides fantastic opportunities for many different types of variation in teaching, something we see as an important part of student learning. We have a maximum of 24 students per class and there are 3 classes in each grade level. The school is centrally located in Knivsta and was opened in 2015, so the facilities are modern and bright. We are now looking for a new special education teacher for our fantastic special education team. Here, 2 special education teachers and 2 special education specialists are waiting to meet their new colleague. Are you the one we're looking for? At our school, we distinguish between the roles of special education teacher and special education specialist. Our special education specialists work to develop and evaluate intervention programs for our students and provide guidance to staff, while our special education teachers work to provide our students with specialized instruction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a special education teacher for grades 3-4, you are responsible for working, in close collaboration with the special education specialist and the student's classroom teacher and based on the students' intervention programs, with relevant measures in specialized instruction. You are part of our special education team consisting of two special education specialists and three special education teachers where you work together to conduct and develop our special education activities. You have close collaboration with the various classroom teachers and other staff at the school. As part of these responsibilities, it is important that you are skilled at communicating, both internally at the school but also with parents and students. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained as a special education teacher with a focus on Swedish, and it is a merit if you have a few years of experience as a special education teacher. You are organized and solution-oriented, work according to a clear process, plan your work well and complete what you've started, and find solutions to problems that arise. You are skilled at building and maintaining relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent employment.
