We collaborate and share a building with International School of Älmhult near the Hagabo residential area. We have three work teams at the school: after-school care, F-3, and 4-6. We have organized a study center at the school for students who need close support and a calm environment, which includes the expertise and guidance of a special education teacher. Elmeskolan invests in collegial development work through lead teachers who guide the work teams each week in language-developing teaching methods across all subjects. The social learning environment has also been a focus area, along with collegial observations. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a special education teacher, you work in close collaboration with another special education teacher and closely with the work teams and principal. You are part of a team where special education teachers and Swedish-as-a-second-language teachers work towards a shared understanding of students' support needs. You are an important part of our student support team and you support students at both group and individual levels and maintain contact with guardians based on your role as a special education teacher. With your expertise, you also support educators and teachers in their work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree and certification as a special education teacher, specializing in language, reading, and writing development. Experience is a merit. You can express yourself in correct Swedish, both spoken and written. You work with a holistic approach and a high degree of flexibility. You easily show tolerance and can see things from different perspectives. You can work both independently and as part of a team, and you have good self-confidence while showing humility.
