We are now looking for a certified special education teacher for intellectual disabilities. About the Work Special education teacher responsible for a group of students in the individual program. The students in the group have mild intellectual disabilities combined with ADHD and other functional variations. Responsible for daily instruction within subject areas. Mentoring is part of the duties, which includes responsibility for and conducting developmental conversations, monitoring students' development and individual goals and study plans, and contact with guardians. Pedagogical classroom management and leading and collaborating with support staff are included in the work. Collegial collaboration and development work with other teachers in the individual program and also in the national program for aesthetic activities is also expected. Planning, implementation, and follow-up of instruction are part of daily work. Pedagogical lunch is applied, which means staff eat with students. Since education takes place throughout the school day and students need support throughout the school day, pedagogical lunch is applied. About You Special education teacher competence is a prerequisite for the students' needs and development. Teaching students with intellectual disabilities requires an understanding of each student's conditions and needs. Requirement for certification as a special education teacher or special pedagogue. Patience and long-term work are expected, and the teacher should apply low-affect interaction. Experience writing pedagogical assessments, intervention programs, and special support is meritorious and will be part of the work. Student health work related to instruction and mentoring is part of the professional role. Relationship building, predictability, and responsiveness are guiding principles in work with students.
