JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you a trained special education teacher who is passionate about teaching and working with children and young people? Do you also have the sensitivity to meet students with various challenges and feel comfortable in the role of bridging student and classroom teacher? Then you might be the right person for us! As a special education teacher at Annaskolan grades 1-9, specialized support primarily comes from core subjects, but sometimes students also need help in other subjects. In addition to teaching mathematics at the intermediate level, you will also work with educational assessments, intervention programs, be a member of the student support team, and mentor staff. The position is part-time at 80% with a split of 60% special education teacher and 20% mathematics teacher. A 6-month probationary period applies. QUALIFICATIONS Formal Competencies: We are looking for someone who is a trained special education teacher, which is a requirement, and who has previous teaching experience. It is an advantage if you have previous experience teaching at the upper secondary level. Personal Competencies: We are looking for someone who is pedagogical with a good understanding of how individuals learn and their different circumstances. You are also flexible and can quickly change your perspective and approach and see opportunities in change. You are collaborative and work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as good as possible. You are also independent and have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the scope of your assignment without being dependent on others.
