Your Workplace Torsby Hospital is one of Region Värmland's three emergency hospitals and serves approximately 40,000 residents in northern Värmland. During the winter season, the patient base increases thanks to proximity to several major ski resorts. We have three care units where patients with internal medicine, surgical, and orthopedic conditions are treated. Additionally, we have outpatient services, a mobile team, operating department, endoscopy, ICU with intermediate care beds, and a 24-hour emergency department with radiology and laboratory services. Your Responsibilities As a specialist/senior physician in internal medicine, you will participate in all aspects of the operation, including work on the ward, outpatient services, and on-call duties. You will be responsible for managing acutely ill patients with a broad spectrum of internal medicine conditions and have the opportunity to specialize in specific patient groups based on your interests and the needs of the operation. The role also includes mentoring of AT, BT, and ST physicians as well as active participation in development and quality initiatives. After an introductory period, you will be part of the on-call rotation, which is conducted as home-based on-call duties during evenings, nights, and weekends, with daytime presence. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are seeking candidates who are licensed physicians with a Swedish specialist certification in internal medicine. You must have Swedish language skills at a minimum of level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. It is advantageous to have previous work experience at hospitals with internal medicine inpatient care, as well as experience with on-call duties and formal dual competence. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You have good collaboration skills and professional conduct, and you see the bigger picture and broader perspective. At the same time, you have the ability to tackle and manage complex problems and can adapt to different situations.
