Our Operations The Section for Endocrinology at Akademiska Hospital in Uppsala is now seeking a specialist physician in Endocrinology. Your Assignment To work independently with patients with endocrine diseases, including diabetes, obesity, and osteoporosis. Work in outpatient clinics, day care, inpatient care, and as a consultant. On-call duty at the emergency department and service as an in-house physician are a natural part of the position. To help develop and lead the section's work within the endocrine field. Participation in work for the Mellansverige healthcare region is a natural part of the role. Active participation in mentoring, training and continuing education of junior colleagues. The section works within multiprofessional teams around patients. Your Qualifications You shall be a specialist physician in Endocrinology; it is an advantage if you also have specialist certification in internal medicine. Experience in research is advantageous but not required. If you have not completed your dissertation, you are expected to engage as a doctoral student within one of the section's research groups. Experience working in endocrinology, including at the Section for Endocrinology, Akademiska Hospital, is advantageous. Clinical teaching experience is advantageous, as mentoring of medical students and junior colleagues is a natural part of the position. Your Competence Clinical experience working in endocrinology, as well as research and teaching as described above. Great consideration will be given to personal competence and ability to collaborate with colleagues and other healthcare staff, as well as experience working at the Section for Endocrinology, Akademiska Hospital in Uppsala.
