Welcome to Vårdcentralen Vadstena and Vårdcentralen Marieberg, which as of April 2025 form a joint operational area. This change aims to create a robust operation that will be equipped in the future to meet the demographic challenges we face. The operations currently have approximately 16,000 registered patients together and a workforce of approximately 65 employees. This announcement is directed toward Vårdcentralen Vadstena, but work may be conducted within the joint organization. Our Offering Primärvårdscentrum Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Vårdcentrum Finspång, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and on-call centers for evenings and weekends, and the General Medicine Training Center. We conduct broad primary care services where we offer care to all throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, elderly, and patients in end-of-life care. Job Description We are looking for someone interested in working with us to drive and develop the health center's work, utilize new digital technology, and engage patients from a patient-centered approach. This is a position where you, together with district doctors and doctors at various stages of their training at both Marieberg and Vadstena, get to help create the new joint organization. We want to work with nearby care, drive collaborations with other actors to create good patient-centered care. There is a medical director employed who, together with the medical team, works to create a good working environment from both group and individual perspectives, find new ways to create good patient safety and teamwork with all professional categories. Currently on-site there are permanent district doctors at both health centers, and together we have six ST doctors, as well as licensed physicians/ultrasound-performing physicians. We offer a good working atmosphere with professional colleagues who work in well-functioning teams. We believe you will appreciate being able to alternate between the small health center's advantages with short decision-making paths and close collaboration with all staff, and the slightly larger Health Center in Motala, with a training unit under its roof. The health center's doctors also participate in primary and on-call duties for the western part of the region during on-call hours. About You The requirement for this position is that you are a specialist in general medicine or another specialist in a related specialty such as geriatrics or internal medicine, with an interest in general medicine that the employer considers equivalent. You have Swedish physician licensing (attached to application) and Swedish language skills corresponding to Swedish C1 level. You have good communication skills toward patients, colleagues, and other operations. Experience in primary care is a merit.
