We are now recruiting two specialist physicians to Health Center Tornet, with one position combined with a role as Medical Director (MLA). At Health Center Tornet, approximately 34 dedicated employees work together to care for around 7,600 registered patients. We are a training and development-focused health center with specialists in general medicine, ST physicians, and AT physicians. Here we value knowledge exchange, mentoring, and collegial learning. We work in teams where all patients have a named physician, and patients over 75 years old are part of a specific team to create continuity and security. We strive toward the benchmark of 1,100 registered patients per full-time physician to create good conditions for quality, work environment, and long-term patient relationships. We also manage a special housing facility (SÄBO) and have home care patients whom we round on regularly each week, which provides the opportunity for close and continuous collaboration around our most vulnerable patients. Our operations include several clinics, including asthma/COPD, diabetes, elderly care, and smoking cessation. We also have a family center with child health clinic (BVC) as well as access to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. Through our regular team rounds, we work together to provide patients with the best possible care. We are now recruiting two specialist physicians as two of our colleagues have chosen to move on to new career opportunities. WORK TASKS As a specialist physician with us, you will be offered varied and developmental work within the entire field of general medicine. The work includes scheduled and acute patient visits, medical assessments, and continuous follow-up of patients. You work closely with other professionals in our multidisciplinary teams and contribute to good continuity and high quality in care. As an experienced specialist physician, you also have the opportunity to contribute to mentoring and competency development of our AT and ST physicians as well as other colleagues in the operations. We offer flexible working hours and the possibility of some remote work for administrative tasks. We are receptive to individual wishes regarding schedule and work approach and strive to create a sustainable work environment for our employees. For the specialist physician who takes on the MLA role, this also includes working together with the operations manager on medical quality, patient safety, and operations development. You do not need to have prior experience as an MLA. We offer introduction, mentor support, and dedicated time for the role to give you good conditions to succeed in the position. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine and authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are a requirement. It is meritorious if you have experience working in primary care as well as with the systems PMO and Melior. For the position that includes the MLA role, prior experience with medical leadership responsibility or operations development is meritorious but not required. You have good interpersonal skills, good communication ability, and actively contribute to a positive work environment.
