The health clinic model, which is an important starting point for close-to-home care, characterizes both the approach and working methods in our daily operations. Dorotea, Vilhelmina, and Åsele health clinics are part of the same base unit and are located in southern Lapland, five miles apart from each other. The nearest hospital is in Lycksele and the county's ambulance helicopter is stationed there. Our health clinics function as well-equipped mini-hospitals with access to acute care beds, X-ray, ambulance services, and laboratories. Our telemedicine usage is well developed. We have occupational therapists, midwives, physiotherapists, social workers, physicians, psychologists, secretaries, nurses, and nursing assistants. We provide acute care as well as standard health center work and have well-developed collaboration between all our professional groups and with the municipalities. We collaborate with universities and accept students. We also collaborate with the Center for Health in Rural Areas, an area of high priority with exciting development work underway. We are now seeking a specialist in general medicine for our health clinic in Vilhelmina. Work across the entire base unit may occur, but your main workplace will be at the health clinic in Vilhelmina. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a general medicine specialist with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. The units are popular among training physicians, and supervision is an important task. In your role as a general medicine specialist, you follow your patients throughout their lives. You meet people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems and independently conduct assessments and treatment. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed physician with a specialist certificate in general medicine and with experience of or interest in primary care. Experience in rural medicine and interest in supervision and supervisor training are merits. You are a present and positive person who with expert knowledge and care sees the patient and contributes to a holistic perspective that makes the care process better and safer. You are a confident person who contributes to good collaboration, through your good communication skills and respectful approach. The work requires independence and the ability to solve problems and make decisions in the right order. As a person, you can handle parallel tasks. You are solution-focused and can adapt to changes in working methods and operations. You enjoy working in a team where a lack of pretense is key to being able to help, learn, and lift each other up.
