The Social Services Department of Älmhults Municipality is now seeking summer interns for care and services. The Social Services Department is responsible for meeting people of all ages and life situations, whether it's care and services or support and assistance. We are available 24/7 and provide support in daily life for children and families, elderly people, people with disabilities, and those who need home healthcare. Älmhults Municipality, due to its geographic location along the main railway line, has very good commuting opportunities across regional borders. Direct trains take 35 minutes to Växjö and less than one and a half hours to Malmö. 45 position(s). JOB DUTIES Spend your summer working at a job that really matters, come work with us in care and services! Home Care - Work in home care is suitable for you if you enjoy an active and independent job with a lot of responsibility. You primarily help elderly people in their own homes with personal care, hygiene, bathing, and services such as shopping, laundry, cleaning, and responding to safety alarms. Specialized Care for the Elderly - Work at a specialized care facility for the elderly is suitable if you want to work closely with elderly people in their daily lives at the facility. The work is very varied. You help with social activities, personal care, hygiene, bathing, and medication administration. QUALIFICATIONS We believe you enjoy freedom with responsibility, that you are flexible, and like social work. For all areas, you as a person should be solution-focused and able to work independently. You are responsible, reliable, and skilled at building good relationships while supporting people to have a good daily life. You do not need experience or training in care work to apply for a summer job with us. However, we are primarily looking for someone who is trained as a nursing assistant or alternatively has ongoing education in a care program, nursing program, or other appropriate care training. We are looking for you who have reached 18 years of age and who enjoy working with people. For certain positions, a category B driver's license for manual transmission is required. Working hours are scheduled, which may include day, evening, and weekend shifts. There are also positions that involve only night work. Employment type: Summer job / Temporary work.
