About the workplace: Elder care in Sorsele municipality consists of two specialized residential facilities focused on dementia care, Åbacken and Utsikten. One specialized residential facility, Norrskenet, and one short-term care facility, Vintergatan. Home care in Sorsele municipality consists of four teams located in different parts of the municipality, two teams in Sorsele community, one team in Ammarnäs, and one team in Gargnäs. Together with all care personnel, the medical unit also includes nurses, occupational therapists, and a physiotherapist. Sorsele municipality also has an LSS residential facility, Napoleongården. About the unit: We work toward the goal of ensuring that elderly residents feel safe, content, and experience high quality of life in their homes. Job duties: We strive for meaningful daily activities for our clients. Tasks include assisting elderly individuals based on their individual needs such as personal care, social activities, and service support. May also include delegated health and medical care tasks. Education, experience, and personal qualities: You have good interpersonal skills and work well with others. Clear communication is important. You think positively about moving forward and keep the elderly's wellbeing in focus, working with a solutions-oriented approach. Required competence/qualifications: It is important that you are comfortable working both independently and in a team and have good ability to assess and handle varying situations. As a person, you are positive, creative, action-oriented, and solutions-focused. We would prefer that you are a nursing assistant, have experience working in healthcare, or have other care-related training. We place great importance on personal qualities. If you are under 18 years old, you are also welcome to apply. We also need non-care staff to contribute with activities during the summer, such as walks, games, or baking. Duration/work hours: Work hours are scheduled for days and evenings, including weekdays and weekends. These are hourly substitute or summer substitute positions.
