Summer Job as Assistant with Opportunity for Permanent Position - Gällivare

Description:

Do you want meaningful work where you make a real difference – and at the same time find a workplace with warmth, humor, and an open-minded culture? Now there's an opportunity to work as a summer assistant for a man living in Gällivare. For the right person, we also offer a permanent part-time position (38.75%) after the summer. We are careful in every recruitment – but for this particular care team, we're looking for something extra. We're looking for the right person, and we'll keep looking until we find our next star. Is it you? Who is Familjen? Familjen is a trustworthy and committed employer with over fifteen years of experience in personal assistance for children, young people, and adults with disabilities. We work in a person-centered way, which means that every individual – whether you're an assistant, family member, or receiving assistance – should feel seen, respected, and valued in our organization. We're called Familjen for a simple reason: we believe that personal assistance works best when it's built on trust, security, and close collaboration. For us, assistance isn't just about schedules, hours, and administration – it's about people, relationships, and a daily life that works well. The name Familjen stands for our ambition to create an organization where customers, family members, and assistants all feel included, cared for, and secure. We work with genuine commitment and a clear goal: to build stable work teams, create long-term relationships, and offer assistance where the individual is always at the center. We also work with private employers in personal assistance and offer flexible solutions for payroll management and administration that simplify work and free up time for what matters most. We operate and have care teams throughout Sweden, from north to south, but our office is located in Täby, just outside Stockholm. Extra Strength The company's founder and owner has worked as a personal assistant himself. This gives us extra understanding of the profession and daily life in care work – and is an important strength in our work creating secure teams and delivering high-quality, person-centered assistance. About the Position I'm a man who uses a wheelchair and need support with daily life. As my assistant, you'll help me with everyday tasks – but the job is also about companionship, security, and creating a functional and pleasant daily life together. You'll also support me with regular rehabilitation training and training visits. I enjoy: baking and making good fika (coffee/snacks) painting and being creative spending time with my grandchildren being outdoors when the weather and my mood allow having a coffee at home in peace – or at a café in town I like to follow the news and enjoy conversations about what's happening in the world. I also like trying new things – so if you have ideas and energy, feel free to take me on both everyday adventures and some fun shenanigans! There are also younger children in the home, and we have a welcoming environment. Who Are We Looking For? We're looking for someone who is cheerful, social, and enjoys working closely with people. Humor is important here – we appreciate someone who has a twinkle in their eye and can contribute to a lighthearted and secure atmosphere. You'll naturally receive a proper introduction and learn the routines at first, but we hope that you'll then be: self-directed and proactive responsible and confident curious and solution-oriented a team player who understands that teamwork is essential It doesn't matter if you're a man or woman – what's important is the personal chemistry. We'd like to see that you have previous experience in care and health services. Do you feel you want to help create a high-quality, secure, and meaningful daily life for someone else? Then you should apply for this position. About the Employment We can offer available shifts immediately on a part-time basis.
