The Workplace Child and Family Services in Nordmalings Municipality consists of 35 employees and, since January 2024, is also responsible for operations for Bjurholm Municipality. The services are divided into five operational areas: Children, Youth & Family; Adults; Open Care; Support & Care; and Management & Support. There you offer support, treatment, and counseling to together create sustainable changes in daily life. You will also be the open care representative in HLT preschool (Health, Learning, Security) and in the Family Center's local work. In open care you work both independently and as part of a team to achieve set goals. Assignments come primarily from case handlers at the authority, but also through service provision (advice and support), where individuals themselves contact open care. The work is based on a strength-based approach, where you strive to unlock the resources of individuals and groups. You also actively work to ensure that those we meet are as involved as possible—based on respect for individual integrity and self-determination. Open care collaborates and has strong partnerships with other actors in the local area. Particularly with schools, where open care has representatives in school social teams (SST), HLT preschool, and HLT school (Health, Learning, Security). At the Family Center in Nordmaling, open care is an important part of the overall operations. Within open care, we are also responsible for facilitating the parenting education program ABC (All Children at the Center) and offering advice, support conversations, and collaborative meetings. Your Profile The requirements for working as a social worker in open care are that you have a degree in social work and previous relevant experience working in care and health services related to social services operations. B-level driver's license is required. Meritorious qualifications for the position include: - Knowledge and experience in psychosocial treatment work - Knowledge and experience in implementing family-oriented interventions - Knowledge and experience with strength-based approaches and methods - Knowledge and experience in NPF and the needs and attachment of younger children - Knowledge and experience working with intimate partner violence Personal qualities and abilities that are important for succeeding in this role include: - You have a professional demeanor and are secure in your person; you can adjust your approach based on the current situation and what the assignment requires. - You are self-driven by taking responsibility for your assignment and working goal-oriented. You make a plan and work structurally and actively to move forward in your processes. - Your flexibility means you remain secure in situations with great uncertainty and you easily adapt to changing circumstances. - You are persistent and remain motivated, working forward despite difficulties or setbacks. - You have good collaboration skills. You are receptive and clear, and you work well in cooperation with others. - You have pedagogical insight—you have good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and can convey your message to the recipient. Employment Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00–17:00 with flexibility options. Evening work occurs. The schedule may be adjusted during certain periods based on client needs, which would be done in consultation with management. A criminal record check from the Police's suspicion and penalty register is required before employment.
