Social Worker
Description:
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic - Department 61 Are you passionate about working with children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges? Do you want to make a difference for young people who need support and treatment? We warmly welcome you to apply for the position of Social Worker at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic in Jönköping. We're looking for someone who gains energy from contributing to quality care with efficient workflows. We are each other's work environment, and we're seeking a confident and stable person who values collaboration across our 24-hour care services, throughout the clinic, with neighboring care facilities, and with partner organizations. The Social Worker Role We urgently need to strengthen our 24-hour care services with a social worker to meet the increased demand on inpatient care and the growing need for coordination, particularly with social services and schools. We also see an increasing need for intensive parental support focused on psychoeducation about mental health and family functioning. You will help families with contacts regarding finances, government agencies, and support services. You will participate in the ward's daily rounds. Documentation and record-keeping are important aspects of the work. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, and nursing assistants. Your Future Workplace "A Gateway to Child and Youth Mental Health" is a joint unit for child and adolescent health and child and adolescent psychiatry for telephone counseling and triage to the appropriate level of care. The regional clinic consists of three outpatient clinics in Nässjö, Värnamo, and Jönköping, plus a 24-hour inpatient ward and an Eating Disorder Unit with day care and outpatient services. The region comprises 13 municipalities. We have approximately 150 employees with various professions and work locations throughout the clinic. 24-Hour Care Services The inpatient ward with 24-hour care has five beds and is located in Jönköping. We are currently operating from temporary facilities at Länssjukhuset Ryhov as our department undergoes extensive renovation and expansion. We plan to move back to our regular premises around the end of October/beginning of November. In 24-hour care, we treat patients under both voluntary care and involuntary psychiatric care according to Swedish law (LPT). We serve children and adolescents aged 0–17 years with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions and increasingly complex issues. The service faces significant future challenges due to the ongoing comorbidity reform, whereby regions will assume expanded responsibility for treating patients with comorbid conditions. Your Profile We're looking for someone with a degree in Social Work and experience from psychiatry or social services. You are a confident and stable person with good self-awareness and sound judgment. You enjoy working independently and collaborating with other professions. You are attentive and communicative. You have the ability to plan and prioritize your work efficiently while easily adapting to sudden changes in circumstances. Personal suitability will be weighted heavily.
