As a social worker in the Support and Subsistence Unit, you need to believe in people's own abilities even when the person you meet may not believe in themselves. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Work with economic assistance is built on two parts. First, we ensure that people have a reasonable standard of living, and second, we work to support people in becoming self-sufficient. In your work, you meet people in different life situations, and your task is to investigate their right to assistance, develop an appropriate action plan together with the client, and motivate change and independence. A major focus is on ensuring that everyone receives the right support based on their individual circumstances. To make this even better, we collaborate with the Labor Market Unit (AME). Our goal is for the interventions and methods we use to strengthen people's agency and facilitate their path to self-sufficiency. Parliament has passed a decision about a new activity requirement for adults receiving subsistence support. The purpose is to strengthen the path to self-sufficiency by offering meaningful employment and increasing the opportunity for work or studies. This work has already begun in our municipality and the law takes effect on July 1. We have made significant progress in digitizing our applications and processes. This is to free up time from the administrative part of the work. We use this time to strengthen the social work around people who need significant support to become self-sufficient. We are committed to respectful and good treatment, lawful case handling, and belief in people's own strength. You will be part of our work group, which currently consists of one work leader and seven social workers working with intake and implementation. Together with the work group and the Labor Market Unit, you will participate in shaping future support for those we meet. The methods we use include: - Establishing action plans and implementation plans together with each individual - Interventions through the Employment Agency, AME, the Älv and Kust Coordination Association, and our own rehabilitation activity Åbacka Garden. - Collaborating with other units and partners, through for example SIP, resource group work, or multi-party meetings. - IPS method. QUALIFICATIONS You have a degree in social work or other relevant higher education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience working in a social services office is an asset. Previous experience working with subsistence support is an asset. You have a positive approach and you see the value of collaborating with others so that each person gets access to the right support in their unique situation. A driving license (Category B) is required. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
