Individual and Family Care Individual and Family Care is a business consisting of three units: child and family, adults, and administration, with a total of 20 employees. In the child and family unit and the adult unit, both social workers and staff work with open care in various forms such as treatment, family support, or family therapy. The operations are led by an operations manager. The child and family unit is now seeking a social worker. The unit consists of senior case handlers and social workers who work with intake, investigation, and follow-up of interventions, family law, and foster care. It is a small municipality and a relatively small operation where collaboration is essential. We help and support each other with the cases the unit is responsible for. The unit handles cases concerning children and young people from 0 years up to 21 years of age. This involves exercising authority based on the Social Services Act and the Act on Care of Young People. The unit also investigates foster families, contact families, contact persons, and handles family law matters. We are now also working with interventions without assistance decisions based on the new Social Services Act. Development work is underway based on the new Social Services Act, and you will be part of this. Duties As a social worker, your role includes: Working closely with important people in the child's/young person's network with a focus on ensuring the child has a good and secure life Investigating and assessing the child's needs, following up on interventions, and sharing responsibility with colleagues for the unit's intake function Collaborating with both internal and external parties The role involves both exercise of authority and, when needed, treatment interventions based on the new Social Services Act. As a social worker with us, you will follow cases from incoming reports/applications through investigation and potential implementation. The work may include leading various group activities and, when needed, some evening duties. Other tasks may also occur, and the content and conditions of the work may change over time. Qualifications A degree in social work or other equivalent higher education in a relevant field Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written You must be well familiar with the case handling requirements and legislation that governs the operations Good computer skills Category B driving license It is a merit if you have previous experience with the Lifecare case management system and if you have previously worked with social work or exercise of authority.
