Protection Consultant

Description:

Amplius Omsorg is a care chain specializing in qualified investigation and treatment for children and families, secure housing, community-based services, and family foster care. Our operations are located in several municipalities in southern Sweden. We are expanding our services and are now seeking two Protection Consultants to join our team. About Amplius Secure Housing Amplius secure housing serves women and families with children aged 0-18 who have experienced intimate partner violence or honor-related violence and oppression. All residents receive support including protection, practical assistance with government agency contacts, counseling/child counseling, and other practical daily support. The goal is to provide as normal and functional a daily life as possible in a vulnerable situation. Our housing options are located in southern Sweden and we offer both independent apartments and communal living arrangements. The operation is licensed by the Swedish Social Board (IVO). About the Role As a Protection Consultant, you will work with children and adults based on their specific situations with a focus on safety and protection. The work requires you to be a trustworthy person who, with great empathy and commitment, helps create calm and security both practically and emotionally. You need the ability to build close and good relationships, listen carefully to residents' needs, and understand their vulnerable situations. We work on behalf of social services, which includes conducting continuous risk and safety assessments and developing safety plans. We work according to a quality management system with associated procedures and policies where we systematically evaluate and improve our work. Collaboration with social services, other authorities, and organizations is central to our mission. Documentation and report writing are part of the job. Work tasks include providing counseling support for those who have experienced violence, assistance with government agency contacts, conducting risk and safety assessments and safety planning, practical help, and emotional support. Tasks are primarily carried out in residents' homes, but may also be performed at the Amplius office. The role also includes picking up and dropping off individuals when they move in or out. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM, but may include occasional evening work based on operational needs. For pickups and drop-offs, working hours are adjusted as needed. We offer full-time positions, but can also consider 75-80% if that works better for you. You will be covered by confidentiality work time policies. About You We are looking for someone with at least two years of post-secondary education in social work, such as a degree in social work, behavioral science, or equivalent education combined with relevant experience. You have at least two years of experience in social work, and we would prefer experience working with intimate partner violence (IPV) and/or honor-related violence and oppression (HRV). It is advantageous if you have experience with risk and safety assessment tools such as Freda, Sara, Patriark, or SAM. Training in trauma-informed care (TIC) is also a merit. You have strong commitment to vulnerable populations, particularly women and families experiencing violence, and you deeply understand the impact of violence on individuals. You are both risk-aware and solution-focused. To thrive in this role, you need to be reliable, stable, and unpretentious. You distinguish between personal and professional matters, are flexible, and adapt easily to changing circumstances. You have the ability to build good collaborative relationships and are a strong team player. Personal suitability is of great importance to us. Your Swedish and English skills are strong, both spoken and written. Additional language skills are a merit. Good computer skills and proficiency with social documentation systems are required. A driver's license for passenger vehicles (category B) is mandatory. Are you looking for a job where you can make a difference, working for a company with high quality standards where development and improvement work are prioritized? Do you want, like us, to go the extra mile and exceed expectations? We welcome your application! About Us At Amplius, we work to expand care and support. Therefore, we always exercise the greatest possible care in our operations. We believe that a grounded approach creates safe environments when they are needed most.
