Here, the aesthetic program and social science program with an aesthetic profile meet in a creative and safe environment. A central part of our operations is an introduction program in close collaboration with the municipal activity responsibility (KAA), where we work with students who have not always had a straightforward path through the school system. We also have an introduction class for students with special needs (NPF) and a smaller portion of adapted education. Your Role with Us As a school nurse at Christian 4's Gymnasium, you are a central part of the health-promoting and preventive student health work with a focus on strengthening students' physical, mental, and social health. You work proactively to create good conditions for learning, well-being, and development for all students – regardless of program and individual needs. An important part of the assignment is to conduct health-promoting and preventive work through health conversations, health education, and targeted interventions based on current needs in the student group. You contribute medical expertise to the student health team and actively participate in interdisciplinary work around students, where early interventions and a holistic perspective are in focus. The work can, for example, involve recognizing mental health issues, lifestyle matters, school attendance, and particularly supporting students in vulnerable situations, such as students in the Introduction Program and students with special needs. The assignment also includes advice and support to students, guardians, and staff on matters concerning health, lifestyles, and medical needs. You also have an advisory function toward the Municipal Activity Responsibility. Beyond health-promoting work, you are responsible for the school nurse's regular medical assignment according to current guidelines for medical student health interventions (EMI). This includes, among other things: Health visits and health checks Vaccinations according to national programs Recordskeeping and documentation Medical assessments and follow-ups Coordination with external healthcare contacts as needed You work in a structured and independent manner while being an active part of the school's work team and student health team together with social pedagogues, special educators, special teachers, counselors, and social workers. Together, you create a safe and health-promoting school environment where the student's best interests are always the center. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who is confident in your professional role with an interest in children's and young people's health as well as health-promoting and preventive initiatives. You are a licensed nurse with further education in health and healthcare for children and youth or a district nurse, alternatively a school nurse. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a school nurse and/or experience working with children and young people. You are good at using digital technology as a tool in your daily work, and it is meritorious if you have experience with electronic health record systems. To succeed in the role, you have a professional and empathetic approach with the ability to build good and trusting relationships. You are good at collaborating and working in teams while being able to work independently. We also want you to be a thorough and organized person with the ability to take responsibility.
