As a damage inspector at Werksta Sollefteå, you will be a central part of our workshop where precision, customer contact, and technical expertise are in focus. You are responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing inspection documentation, and providing clear recommendations for repair actions. The role involves close collaboration with customers, workshop technicians, and service management to ensure efficient and quality-assured damage processes. Work Tasks Receive and inspect damaged vehicles, document damage and assess extent as well as repair needs. Prepare clear inspection reports, work proposals, and cost estimates in the workshop system. Collaborate with damage and body/paint technicians to plan workflow, order parts, and follow up on schedules. Communicate professionally with customers, insurance companies, and internal parties regarding damage status, action proposals, and delivery. Conduct quality checks of completed repair work and ensure that vehicles are returned in the agreed condition. Participate in improvement work regarding inspection procedures, documentation, and workplace safety issues. Qualifications Experience in damage inspection, vehicle repairs, or work in a car workshop/body and paint shop is a merit. Good technical understanding of vehicle damage and repair methods. Experience in preparing cost estimates and inspection documentation; familiarity with workshop systems is a merit. Good communication skills in speech and writing in Swedish; English is a merit. Class B driver's license is required or strongly recommended depending on the job's requirements. Personal Qualities Thorough, structured, and quality-conscious with a good eye for detail. Service-oriented and confident in customer meetings with the ability to explain technical assessments in an understandable way. Cooperative and communicative in contact with colleagues and external parties. Problem-solving and proactive with a willingness to contribute to improved procedures and more efficient processes.
