The Social Services Department is responsible for measures, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are governed primarily by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Care Act. Now we are looking for you who want to be part of our wonderful team. We can also offer competency development and internal training through our newly opened competency center, which is directed at employees within both health and medical care as well as care and services. Job Responsibilities You will have an independent, varied, and developmental role as a nurse where you are responsible for health and medical care services in the patient's home and/or in special housing. The work is varied, stimulating, and offers great opportunities for professional development. You plan the work based on the patient's individual needs and conditions, in close dialogue with the patient, relatives, physicians, care and service staff, and other cooperation partners. You are responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and follow-up of medical care services. This also includes delegating and mentoring care and service staff. The work is scheduled with primarily daytime work and is based from the home care unit's premises or special housing. Weekend duty every 5th weekend, where a shorter part of the work shift involves working alone in regular housing, special housing, and LSS. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with several years of experience. It is meritorious if you have experience in municipal home care, inpatient care, and preferably specialist nurse education in district nursing or with a focus on care of the elderly. You have the ability to work independently, make medical assessments, make your own decisions, handle stress constructively, and manage complex situations in a professional manner. As a person, you are calm, confident, stable, and responsible. You always put the patient at the center and are driven by contributing to development and high care quality. To thrive in the role, you also need to be flexible, change-oriented, and able to see opportunities in new work methods and changes. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
