The Senior Care Sector in Kil Municipality is responsible for elder care. The sector also oversees the provision of all municipal health and medical care, rehabilitation, memory care teams, day activities, and family support. Nurses in home healthcare are based in Kil town center, where we have our shared offices and visit patients in their ordinary homes by foot, bicycle, or municipal vehicles. Nurses at special housing facilities and short-term care are based at our new SÄBO Grinnemo. The nursing team is part of the Health, Care and Services unit, which also includes municipal rehabilitation, benefits administrators, memory care teams, and family support staff. Responsibilities As a nurse in municipal home healthcare, your main responsibilities are to provide health and medical care services for patients. You will perform independent assessments, medical treatments, and nursing interventions with patients. Daily work also includes preventive work to maintain health and well-being. Work in home healthcare requires great flexibility in the daily planning structure. Patients' health and well-being fluctuate and sometimes change quickly, and priorities become very important for daily work and today's work plan may need to be quickly restructured. You enjoy planning and working independently but have a great ability to collaborate within the team and across professions. You can see solutions when obstacles arise. No two days are the same, but with good collaboration across the entire nursing team, we succeed together in our mission to provide health and medical care services to citizens in Kil Municipality that we're here to serve. The position also includes delegating and coaching care and support staff in health and medical care services as well as being professional support to patients and relatives. Our work hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts (4 evenings over 12 weeks and every 6th weekend). Qualifications You are a licensed nurse. It is a merit if you have completed further education specializing as a district nurse or in elder care and have experience from home healthcare. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
