Outpatient Surgery in Ängelholm is part of the anesthesia, surgery, and intensive care department at Helsingborg Hospital. Outpatient Surgery primarily conducts planned outpatient surgical procedures but also treats inpatients undergoing procedures such as hip replacement, knee replacement, or spinal surgery as part of short-term care. We perform specialized and planned operations within orthopedics, surgery, gynecology, urology, otolaryngology, and dentistry. The recovery unit has twelve monitoring beds for elective and inpatient care. We receive both adults and children, during daytime Monday through Thursday (06:45-20:30) and Friday (06:45-17:00). The department has approximately 90 employees, and the work team consists of surgical nurses, anesthesia nurses, intensive care nurses, nursing assistants, sterile technicians, and anesthesiologists. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now looking for you, a registered nurse with a strong interest in pre- and postoperative care! The work pace can sometimes be high, and we work a lot around our patient flow throughout the day. You will work with pre- and postoperative care, monitoring, and patient care. All documentation is done in Melior, and our surgery planning tool is Orbit. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you as a registered nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are also a requirement for the position. If you have experience in postoperative care, outpatient surgery, surgery/urology, and/or orthopedic operations, that is an advantage.
