Nurse for Kidney, Stomach, and Intestinal Department in Kristianstad

Description:

Make a difference. Every day. Are you looking for a varied and stimulating job where you have good opportunities to strengthen and develop yourself in your nursing role? Then we have the position for you! Whether you are in your final term of nursing school looking for a secure start to your career or you are an experienced nurse seeking new challenges, you are welcome with us! The Kidney, Stomach, and Intestinal Department in Kristianstad is a department focused on kidney diseases and gastroenterological diseases. The two specialties are separate, and together the department has 13 patient beds. We work with nurses, healthcare assistants, physicians, medical secretaries, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians. At the department, we also have an education nurse who works to strengthen and support our nurses in their professional role by leading, implementing, evaluating, and following up on competency development initiatives within the team. Our vision is that our staff, through engagement and initiative, together develop our working methods and collaboration at the department, with a focus on safe and secure care for our patients. Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK) is northeastern Scania's acute care hospital. Emergency care is provided around the clock by qualified staff with approximately 2,600 committed employees. CSK has the resources of a large hospital and the closeness and sense of community of a smaller hospital. The hospital offers residents in its service area care with short waiting times within all specialties. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES We welcome a nurse to our kidney, stomach, and intestinal department! As a nurse, you work both as part of a team with other professional groups and independently, responsible for providing good care and nursing to our patients. Your tasks are varied and often include elements of medical technology. We all share responsibility for the patients admitted to the department. To the greatest extent possible, patients are divided into two teams, focused on nephrology or gastroenterology. In this way, as a nurse you round with your patients with a physician team and get good opportunities for learning during rounds. We offer you a stimulating work environment where opportunities for further development are a given. Our education nurse has an active role in contributing to your professional development both in the short and long term, and you are continuously offered training initiatives based on your interests and the department's needs. So that you can enter the department and your role in the best possible way, we offer you an introduction tailored to your experience and needs. As an employee with us, you have great opportunities to help build the department and contribute to developing our working methods. If you are a newly graduated nurse, you are offered the opportunity to participate in Region Scania's clinical foundation year, which is an introductory program that through lectures, practical exercises, and discussion seminars strengthens you in your new professional role. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice in Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have Swedish language skills at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. We would like to see that you have experience in gastroenterology or renal medicine, but this is not a requirement. For you to thrive and succeed well in the role, we see that you are thorough, good at prioritizing your tasks, and have a strong commitment to the department and want to contribute to our continued development. You also have the ability to independently perform your tasks and are flexible in your approach. Of course, you work according to Region Scania's values. As we are keen to find the right person for the position, we place great importance on personal suitability. In this recruitment, we use continuous selection.
