Nurse for Neurology Department in Kristianstad
Description:
Make a difference. Every day. Are you looking for work where you get the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the brain, stroke, and neurological diseases? Do you want to be part of acute stroke care and at the same time develop your nursing competence? Then you should apply to us at the Neurology Department in Kristianstad! The Neurology Department is a care unit at Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK) belonging to the medical operations area. The department is responsible for adult patients with stroke and neurological diseases. In addition to care work and nursing responsibilities, nurses are part of the hospital's stroke alert system around the clock. The department has its own telemetry units and we work based on team-based care. As a new nurse in the department, you will be included in a project called 80-20. The purpose of the project is to create a better balance between clinical work and competence development. The project means that 80 percent of your employment is scheduled for clinical work and 20 percent is scheduled for competence development activities such as training, areas of responsibility, and project work. This is aimed at improving the work environment and creating greater participation in and structure around the development of both your own role and the operations. During summer and Christmas and New Year holidays, you will dedicate 100 percent of your working time to clinical work. 2 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking nurses to further develop care for patients with stroke and neurological diseases. With us you are offered varied work with a focus on acute care where you are an important part of the team around the patient. You gain broad expertise within your specialty and the opportunity to participate in the development of care and the department. For newly graduated nurses, there is a clinical foundation year that includes lectures and clinical skills training. If you want to specialize, we offer, in addition to educational benefits within priority areas, a number of available education positions where education alternates with clinical work over two years. We offer you an introduction adapted based on your experience and needs so you can enter the operation and your role in the best possible way, and we arrange ongoing training activities internally in the department. As part of your development - when you feel ready - there is also the opportunity to take on the role of thrombolysis nurse. You will then become part of the hospital's stroke alert system. For the transition, you will receive specific introduction and supervision. Working hours are scheduled during day, evening, and night throughout all weekdays and we use a booking schedule and major holiday rotation.
