Helsingborg Hospital is one of Region Skåne's four emergency hospitals. Qualified emergency care is provided here 24 hours a day. On the day surgery department, we care for adults and children over one year old from all operating specialties as well as endoscopy and radiology departments. We are a combined admission department for patients who continue into inpatient care while also conducting day surgery. Pre- and postoperative care is provided on the department. We have both planned and subacute operations. The operations are open Monday to Friday. We are a small and cozy department with care for our patients and each other. DUTIES We are now looking for you, a nurse with a strong interest in pre- and postoperative care! In the role of nurse at the day surgery department, you work with pre- and postoperative care as well as care of patients with extended monitoring needs or need for a higher level of care. We also function as an admission department for patients who continue into inpatient care after surgery. Your work is highly varied and we provide service to all types of operating specialties. To help you as a new employee settle into your role as well as possible, we offer individual orientation based on your previous experience and competencies. In addition, you will be offered internal training. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you as a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale. We would like to see that you have experience in pre- and postoperative care and some of the following: emergency care, surgery, orthopedics, urology, and/or gynecology. In addition, it is meriting if you have previously worked with healthcare IT systems, such as for example Orbit and Melior. It is important that you enjoy and function well with communicating and collaborating in teams with both your own and other professions. Moreover, you are able to plan and prioritize between different tasks and are thorough and work both systematically and with patient safety even in situations when the pace is high.
