Our most important goal is to reduce reoffending – to break the cycle of crime. If we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, detention facilities, and inmate transportation. Job Description The Swedish Prison and Probation Service provides certain open healthcare services, which means that all institutions and detention facilities have healthcare clinics where inmates can seek care. At the clinics, in addition to nurses, there are general practitioners and psychiatrists. As a nurse, you will have your own clinic for assessing minor ailments, and you will also determine which patients should see a doctor. Teamwork is important and ongoing, where we support each other during, for example, time off or other needs. Close, open, and unpretentious collaboration with your immediate supervisor is crucial for advancing healthcare services within the operation together. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have great integrity and the ability to make correct assessments and prioritizations. You are quality-conscious and thorough, and have the ability to structure your own approach and drive your processes forward.
