Geriatric Center is a specialty clinic for patients in need of both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. A comprehensive assessment of the elderly patient's medical, physical, mental, and social functional capacity during illness is performed by interprofessional teams. Diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation are conducted in inpatient and outpatient settings with focus on the patient's individual needs. General Geriatrics, Ward 1, has 20 care beds focused on subacute general geriatric care and rehabilitation, as well as a so-called fast track for admission of patients from MAVA and the Infectious Disease Clinic. We are very proud to operate a student teaching ward (SUA) where nursing and nursing assistant students independently care for patients under supervision. We welcome diversity and in 2016 the ward became LGBTQ certified. We are now seeking a new colleague for a permanent position in Region Västerbotten. JOB DUTIES As a nurse with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. Your work as a nurse includes nursing responsibility and nursing care together with nursing assistants, medical interventions based on the patient's condition and physician orders, as well as contact with other professionals on the care team, other healthcare providers, and the patient's family members. Staffing consists of two nurses and two nursing assistants during night shifts. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist education for nurses in elderly care. For you to be the right candidate, we see that you have strong collaboration skills, where you listen and communicate with both patients and colleagues. It is important that you feel comfortable handling administrative tasks. It is a merit if you have experience with teamwork and geriatric nursing care.
