About Us The Adult Psychiatric Clinic is part of the Division of Psychiatry and Disability. The clinic's mission is to provide specialized psychiatric care to adults with serious mental health conditions in southern and western Sörmland. Our goal is to achieve improved mental health, quality of life, and functional capacity in our patients. The Psychiatric Clinic in Nyköping is a small, well-functioning clinic located on the hospital campus with opportunities for collaboration with somatic clinics. The clinic has two inpatient units—one focused on intensive care/substance abuse and the other on general psychiatry/psychosis. Our psychiatric outpatient services are divided into general psychiatry, psychosis, and substance abuse, with outpatient clinics in both Nyköping and Katrineholm. The General Psychiatry/Psychosis Unit works with patients including those with affective disorders, eating disorders, self-harm behaviors, and psychosis. The unit has a total of 16 care beds, of which 7 are designated for psychotic conditions requiring inpatient care. The team consists of physicians, registered nurses, nursing assistants, and care attendants. The work group is a mix of staff with many years of experience at the clinic and newly recruited employees with a passion and curiosity that creates a stimulating work environment. We are in constant development, working to improve staff working conditions, which enables us to provide our patients with good care and encourages staff to continue developing on both professional and personal levels. Your Tasks As a registered nurse, you will lead the team and be ultimately responsible for nursing care. You will lead the work in agreement with other professional groups on the team. Your other responsibilities include documentation, medication management, and conversations with patients and their families. We are seeking someone who wants to help develop a psychiatric intensive care unit based on evidence-based nursing care. Your Qualifications You are a licensed registered nurse. Specialist education in psychiatry is a merit. As a person, you are stable and confident in your professional role. You are responsible, can take your own initiative, and are a team player. In your interactions with patients, you demonstrate a professional approach and a holistic view of the person. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
