About Us The Adult Psychiatric Clinic is part of the Division of Psychiatry and Functional Disabilities. The clinic's mission is to offer specialized psychiatric care to adults with serious psychiatric health issues in southern and western Sörmland. The clinic's goal is to achieve improved mental health, quality of life, and functional ability in our patients. The Psychiatric Clinic in Nyköping is a small and well-functioning clinic located at the hospital with opportunities for collaboration with somatic clinics. The clinic has two inpatient units, one focused on intensive care/substance abuse and the other on general psychiatry/psychosis. Our psychiatric outpatient care is divided into general psychiatry, psychosis, and substance abuse, with outpatient clinics in both Nyköping and Katrineholm. The General Psychiatry/Psychosis Unit works with patients with affective conditions, eating disorder issues, self-harm behavior, and psychosis, among others. The unit has a total of 16 beds, of which 7 are designated for psychotic conditions requiring inpatient care. The staff includes doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and care attendants. The team consists of a mix of employees with many years of experience working at the clinic as well as newly recruited staff with a burning interest and curiosity, which creates a stimulating atmosphere at the workplace. We are in constant development, working to improve the work environment for our employees, which allows us to provide our patients with good care and stimulate employees to continued development on both a professional and personal level. Your Tasks As a nurse, you will lead the team and are ultimately responsible for patient care. You will lead the work in consultation with other professional groups on the team. Your other tasks include documentation, medication distribution, and conversations with patients and their families. We are seeking someone who wants to be part of developing a psychiatric intensive care unit based on evidence-based nursing care. Your Qualifications You are a licensed nurse. Specialist education in psychiatry is a merit. As a person, you are stable and confident in your professional role. You are responsible, can take your own initiative, and are a team player. In your interactions with patients, you have a professional approach and a holistic view of the human being. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
