Welcome with your application! Our Operations Surgical Unit 70C is one of four departments within the Department of Surgery and Urology. We provide highly specialized surgical care with a focus on transplant surgery, liver/pancreas and esophagus/stomach surgery. The majority of our operations are planned, but we also provide some acute and subacute care with direct admissions to the unit from our partner regions. The unit also includes the transplant clinic, where our patients come for examinations and follow-up visits before and after transplantation. The clinic is staffed in part by personnel from the unit. The unit has 24 care beds staffed by a large and dedicated team of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, pharmacists, and other important health professionals who work together in teams around patients. We also have nurses with specialist functions such as specialist nurses and section-responsible nurses, who work to drive and develop care for our patients. We work with the Fundamentals of Care framework as our guiding principle and with a clear patient-centered approach where the patient is in focus. Region Uppsala values the qualities that equal gender distribution and diversity bring to operations and welcomes applicants of all genders and with different backgrounds, functionality, and life experience. Region Uppsala war-allocates all permanent employees based on total defense needs. This means for the individual employee no obligations in peacetime but is solely a planning measure. Before a decision about employment, a check of suspected and burden registers is made regarding all job seekers who in the sought position may work within psychiatric care, rehabilitation, care of children and youth, or compulsory care of substance abusers, areas covered by facultative register excerpts. This thus applies to all who will work patient-close, even if the work tasks at present are not intended to mainly contain work with the above-mentioned patient groups. This recruitment is carried out entirely by Region Uppsala and we decline telephone calls from recruitment companies and advertising sales representatives.
