Nurse Day/Evening Shift - Department 63 Torsby Hospital

Description:

Do you want to be part of developing future healthcare in northern Värmland? We are now seeking committed nurses for Torsby Hospital – a smaller hospital with a big heart. Here we work closely together across departmental boundaries with the patient in focus and with short decision-making paths that enable quick and safe care interventions. Your Workplace Torsby Hospital has three care units, and we collaborate closely, working across all units as needed based on one department. The hospital is clinic-free, so you will gain broad knowledge in patient care. Department 63 is a reopened unit under development with the hope of expanding the number of care beds over time. The focus is surgical care beds for both acute and elective cases, but specialties such as orthopedics and internal medicine will also be available in the unit. Department 64 has orthopedics as its primary specialty, both acute and elective. There will also be care beds for both surgery and internal medicine as needed depending on bed availability. We staff these units together, so work will be conducted on both units. Team spirit is constantly present, and all units have a central role in working with and around our patients. We are a small hospital in northern Värmland with a big heart and commitment to our patients and employees, where all units and collaborative partners are highlighted as an important part of the hub for smooth and safe operations. Good collaboration between units, short decision-making paths, and close contact with the management group are hallmarks for us. At the hospital, we care for staff health and well-being and have access to our own staff gym and personal trainer. In your work on the unit, you will be part of the hospital's new transition to a resource-efficient organization where staff working conditions are the focus. You will become part of a team where cooperation, participation, and work satisfaction are central values, and where your expertise truly makes a difference. Your Responsibilities On the care unit, you work as a nurse in a team together with nursing assistants. As a nurse, you will be responsible for ward rounds, medication management, nursing care, and various medical-technical procedures. You will receive individual onboarding, and if you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in a clinical development program (KUP) during your first year. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is important to you that you meet people in a friendly and respectful manner. You are organized and solution-focused. Additionally, you adapt easily to changing circumstances, collaborate well in teams, and can work independently.
