About the Job Welcome to Lycksele – the small town with a big heart. Here it's easy to be church and reach people closely! Southern Lapland Parish consists of five congregations where Lycksele Hospital is located in Lycksele and serves all of southern Lapland as its catchment area. Lycksele Hospital is an acute care hospital with an important geographic location in the center of Västerbotten County and has a catchment area of approximately 40,000 residents. The hospital has nearly 600 employees and around 80 care beds. To provide safe and secure care in an area with large geographic distances, the hospital has developed prehospital care with well-trained and experienced personnel. The region's ambulance helicopter is based here and performs more than 500 missions per year. The hospital chaplaincy team consists of a hospital chaplain, hospital deacon, and hospital pastor. A cantor is also affiliated with the department. The hospital chaplain is the work leader for the Church of Sweden's part of the operations and coordinator for the whole. The hospital chaplaincy maintains good relationships with the hospital's staff and management. We are looking for you, a priest in the Church of Sweden who: has documented further education in pastoral care is confident and integrated as a person has good collaboration skills and flexibility to meet emerging needs has the ability to meet people in different life situations and crises has a listening approach and great interest in people has pedagogical ability/competence if you have completed the hospital chaplaincy competency program in hospital pastoral care or other qualified further education in pastoral care and therapy, that is a merit. Great importance is placed on personal suitability! Your Responsibilities Pastoral care and crisis support, individually and in groups; patients, relatives, and staff Participation in training and supervision of healthcare personnel Participate in the hospital's crisis management, PKL Participate in on-call service and recruit and train colleagues for emergency response teams Conduct sung services and arrange music Serve as a resource in grief group work in the congregation Conducts services and religious ceremonies, to some extent. Be a link to the parish's congregations and support and equip within the areas of pastoral care, spiritual care, and crisis support. Other Information We require that you have a driver's license category B. This is a permanent position and probationary employment may be applicable. Start date by agreement.
