The Swedish Public Detention Care Board (Statens institutionsstyrelse, SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse issues. SiS LVM-hem Östfora in Järlåsa, northwest of Uppsala, admits men with alcohol, drug, or poly-substance abuse combined with mental health issues. We have specialized expertise in medical care and are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs. SiS is undergoing comprehensive transformation with development happening on multiple fronts simultaneously. Job Description As Quality Chief, you have overall responsibility for systematic quality and improvement work at the institution, including self-inspections and improvement initiatives based on identified deficiencies in care, treatment, and healthcare. You are responsible for implementing and monitoring methods and practices in care, treatment, and healthcare. You will develop and, when needed, initiate collaboration with other care providers. You also manage local complaint handling. You lead the institution's treatment organization and have a team of staff including psychologists, nurses, treatment secretaries, and quality coordinators. You report directly to the Institution Director and participate in the institution's management team. Qualifications To succeed as Quality Chief, you have a holistic perspective and a strong ability to consider the organization's best interests in your actions and decisions. You are communicative and create dialogue, participation, and engagement. You should also have: - Academic degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, or other relevant education - Several years of experience working in social services, care and treatment, or equivalent activities - Documented current management experience with operational, budget, and personnel responsibility - Driver's license and access to a car At SiS we prioritize good leadership. Start date by agreement. On-call duties may be part of the position. Selection occurs during ongoing recruitment.
