SiS LVM-hem Östfora in Järlåsa northwest of Uppsala receives men with alcohol, drug, or combined substance abuse, in combination with mental health issues. We have special expertise in medical care and have the assignment to conduct treatment for clients with special care needs. Job Description Do you want to be part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivation work and providing support in everyday life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to ensuring treatment plans are followed. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal certainty, planning, and monitoring of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and help ensure that everyday life runs smoothly. Contact person responsibilities are also one of your tasks. The work may also include serving as a mentor to new employees and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in a difficult life situation. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied. Our vision is to be a place for change and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our attitude. As a new employee, you will complete SiS basic training over 10 weeks. In the training, theory is combined with guided introduction, and the training equips you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, Monday through Sunday. Weekend work according to schedule every third weekend. Qualifications To succeed in your work, you have a well-founded positive view of humanity. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and you share SiS values, to be a place for change. Further, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our clients. As a person, you are confident in yourself and find it easy to build relationships with clients as well as with other members of the staff. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You collaborate well with others and can handle conflicts in a constructive manner. You must also have: A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or education from a university that we deem equivalent Category B driver's license Good Swedish in speech and writing It is a merit for us if you also have: Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, such as work in psychiatry or within LSS care Education in care and health services Experience working with our target group in substance abuse care for elderly men At SiS, we care about good employee relations.
