Our operations The Security Unit consists of five employees and belongs to the Municipal Management Office. The unit's mission is to work strategically, directionally and advisorily so that operations have the best possible opportunity to meet the extensive and broad requirements that exist within crime prevention work, crisis preparedness, civil defense and security protection. Your assignment This is a role for you who wants to drive development issues. You have great opportunities to influence and contribute your expertise in a central role. Together with a colleague, you are responsible for leading the cross-administrative safety and crime prevention work. You initiate, plan, educate, organize and drive processes both independently and together with others. An important part of the role is to actively work to create good cooperation internally within our safety council. The unit is responsible for producing situational assessments, mapping, root cause analysis, action plans and follow-up. You will be a point of contact with the police, businesses, associations, property owners and others, in order to gather and share knowledge and analyses in order to convert information into long-term planning. The work also includes handling the operative work within the safety council and supporting concrete cooperation. It is important that you can independently plan and drive processes long-term while quickly adapting to changed circumstances. You will take responsibility for strategic development and through coordination and development of common work areas facilitate operations to succeed in their line work. We work closely with operations and as experts in the field, so some tasks will also be purely operational to support operations in acute events. You will also educate and drive knowledge-based working methods and carry out various activities such as safety walks and lectures. You will work closely with other strategists and investigators and work with related areas such as ANDT, social sustainability and violent extremism. The Security Unit is a small unit that works closely together and therefore it is important that you also have an interest in civil preparedness so that you can occasionally become engaged in crisis preparedness and other current tasks in the unit. Your experience We are looking for you who have good knowledge of social and situational crime prevention work as well as good analytical ability when it comes to the relationship between actual safety and perceived security. You should have: - Relevant social science degree from university or college with a focus on, for example, political science, sociology, criminology, police education, or other education considered equivalent by the employer - Several years of current experience with coordinating crime prevention work in a municipal central function - Good knowledge of laws and national governance in the field - Experience of investigation and analysis work, as well as compiling results - Good knowledge of how a municipality is organized and especially how schools and social services are organized - Documented experience with reporting and coordination in the field Your personal qualities You see cooperation as an opportunity for success.
