Are you looking for an exciting, varied, and responsible assignment where you get the opportunity to make a real difference? We are now seeking an experienced, confident, and clear principal for Eket and von Reiser Schools in Örkelljunga Municipality. This is an assignment for someone who is motivated by developing operations in change. Our schools have many strengths, engaged staff and students, but also areas for development that require present, courageous, and long-term leadership. Here you will have the opportunity to, together with staff and students, create stability, direction, and confidence in the future. An important part of the development work is that you lead and drive the work with Teaching Excellence in Practice (USiP), a common development initiative in all primary and adapted primary schools in the municipality. Through USiP, we work long-term to strengthen the quality of teaching with focus on what makes the greatest difference for student learning. USiP is the core of our work toward improved student results. You lead the operations close to your staff and work both operatively and strategically. The assignment includes creating structure, clarity, and common direction while building trusting relationships and capitalizing on the commitment of your staff. You are part of the education administration's management group and contribute to the entire municipality's school development. We are looking for you who: • Are confident, persistent, and clear in your leadership • Have the ability to create structure in complex situations • Are relationship-focused, communicative, and responsive • Can balance demands and support in the organization • Have the courage to make decisions and stand by them You understand the value of close leadership and know that change takes time, but also that direction, participation, and clarity are crucial for achieving results. In your role as principal: • You lead the pedagogical work with focus on development and results • You are responsible for staff, work environment, finances, and operations • You systematically drive quality work and school development • You actively work with student welfare from a preventive and promotion perspective • You create good collaborations with guardians and external partners QUALIFICATIONS • You have completed a principal program • Have a pedagogical university or higher education degree • Are well familiar with school governing documents • Have experience leading school development and quality work • Have good experience with student welfare work • Have very good communication skills It is meritorious if you have special education expertise and experience with development work in schools with particular challenges. Employment form: Permanent employment. In Örkelljunga Municipality, we apply individual and equal salary setting. This position has a salary range of 60,000–67,000 kr/month, depending on experience, competence, and market conditions.
