DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS We are now seeking a principal responsible for grades F-3 at ÄBC and F-6 at Sunnemo School. Your physical location will be at Älvstranden Bildningscentrum, where you will work alongside 6 other principals from preschool to adult education. Älvstranden Bildningscentrum is a school comprising primary school F-9, after-school care, secondary school, reception unit, special education school, and adult education. In addition, our city library, which also serves as a school library, is located in the building along with a swimming pool, bowling alleys, and sports halls. The F-3 unit at ÄBC has approximately 190 students and 3 after-school care programs. Sunnemo School is a smaller unit with approximately 70 students in grades F-6 and one after-school care program. You will report directly to the School Principal and serve as a member of the Hagfors school area management team. As a principal in children's education and learning, you work in a team together with other principals. The management team consists of all managers within the children's education and learning department, totaling 13 people including the school principal and development strategist. In this role, you will be part of a team of three principals in primary school at ÄBC. The principals collaborate extensively on personnel, budgets, student welfare, and other management duties. As a principal, you develop together with staff a program where students' knowledge, sense of security, and ability to take action are in focus. The position includes responsibility for approximately 40 personnel in the unit, finances, work environment, and leading and developing the program in accordance with the school's governing documents, as well as systematically and continuously planning, following up, evaluating, and developing the program. As a manager in Hagfors Municipality, you will receive continuous support for your leadership through management meetings, internal leadership training, supervision, and support regarding finances, administration, and systematic quality work. We seek a candidate with a relevant pedagogical degree, preferably supplemented with additional leadership training and the state principal certification. You have documented experience in successfully leading others. The assignment requires an attentive and secure leader who can demonstrate pedagogical leadership at all levels. You have a strong ability to establish and develop relationships with staff, students, and parents, and you are a leader with excellent communication skills. All your decisions are guided by having the student's best interests in focus. Holistic perspective, structure, commitment, quality, professionalism, participation, and development orientation are your guiding principles. As a person, you need to be a team player who is drawn to working in a management team. You are development-oriented and goal-driven, and your leadership is built on participation and clear communication. You have good IT skills and can express yourself clearly and correctly in both speech and writing. A driver's license is required. Great weight is given to personal suitability. According to the Education Act (2010:800), a criminal record clearance from the Swedish Police Authority is required to work in preschool, school, or childcare.
