Then you might be the new principal of Parkskolan! Parkskolan in Vara is an elementary school for grades 4–6 with approximately 170 students. Your Role As principal of Parkskolan, your responsibilities include formal principal duties for students and staff at the school unit. The middle school is centrally located in Vara and collaborates with both the primary school that feeds into it and the upper secondary school that receives its students. The assignment is governed by school legislation, regulations, and municipally set goals. To support you in your role as principal, the Education Sector has three development leaders in different areas (pedagogy, school processes, and digitalization), a operations manager, and central student welfare services. You will also receive support from an accountant, HR generalists, and a communications officer connected to the sector—all serve as supporting resources in your principal assignment. You lead through trust-based and developmental leadership that creates confidence, security, engagement, and participation to strengthen staff members in their assignments. Your Knowledge and Experience You have relevant higher education with a pedagogical focus. We regard experience in a leadership position in primary school or other educational and school activities as advantageous, as well as having completed the state principal education program. As a principal, you are responsive to others' perspectives, emphasize shared values, contribute to a good work environment, and create team spirit in work groups, at the unit, and at the school.
