Your Workplace Habilitation, vision and assistive devices is a regional operation that offers interdisciplinary and specialized interventions and assistive devices for children, adolescents, and adults with long-term functional limitations. At adult habilitation, in addition to psychologists, curators, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists work together. Discussions about common professional and habilitation-related issues are constantly ongoing within and across professional boundaries. We place great emphasis on staying updated on current research in the habilitation field and, as much as possible, basing our work on evidence-based methods. Adult habilitation's target groups are individuals with autism spectrum conditions, intellectual disabilities, mobility impairments, and acquired brain injuries. Our patients have one or more of these difficulties. The goal of all interventions in our operation is to optimize the opportunity for individuals with a lasting functional limitation to live as independently as possible based on their own circumstances. One of our psychologists holds a specialist position and works continuously to develop and maintain a psychological perspective throughout the operation. Your Responsibilities The psychologist's work at adult habilitation includes individual treatment interventions and group treatment, assessments of cognitive functioning levels, and consultative support to staff groups. Our work is directed toward all patients in the operation, where individuals with autism without intellectual disability make up a large portion. You will quickly gain insight into the breadth of the neuropsychiatric field and see the value of pragmatic interventions as a complement to traditional treatment work. To meet the needs of our other target groups, the work also involves offering consultative support to staff groups. We use evidence-based methods such as TBA and PBS with close collaboration with other professions in the team. Another important task for the psychologist is to read, evaluate, and process incoming referrals. Psychologists participate in the operation's development work and continuously work on psychology-specific development issues. Current areas include, for example, developing e-services and broadening the range of group activities for both patients and relatives. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. As a person, we see that you have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change. You are creative and often come up with ideas and new approaches to work-related issues. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and are aware that everyone has different circumstances. You can therefore also adapt your way of conveying messages to the recipient. We see that you collaborate well with others and are confident in yourself in your professional role, which helps provide good care. Experience with habilitation and/or habilitation's target groups is meritorious but not required.
