As a school psychologist, you work to ensure that all children and students are given the best conditions to succeed in school. You become an important part of supporting the student health team by providing psychological expertise. You will work closely with counselors, school nurses, special education teachers, study and career guidance counselors, speech-language pathologists, and school leadership. In your role as a school psychologist, you conduct assessments and evaluations of students, groups, and organizations to contribute knowledge about conditions for learning and support needs. You will also provide guidance to school staff. The work will also include educational initiatives to increase competence in the operations. Your immediate supervisor is the head of student health, who is positioned centrally in the organization. As a school psychologist, you are also part of the administration's central student health services together with school nurses, school counselors, school doctors, speech-language pathologists, and other school psychologists. The central student health services work with all children and students in preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school programs, and upper secondary schools. You work from the units you are responsible for. 1 position(s). DUTIES Work with preventive and health-promoting initiatives at different levels. Consult and mentor pedagogical staff. Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations. Provide crisis support in acute matters. Participate in student health team meetings and other meetings both within and outside school. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed psychologist and we see that you have experience working as a school psychologist. You should have several years of experience with assessments and evaluations of children and adolescents. You are experienced in mentoring both individuals and groups. You are able to independently plan and organize your work in collaboration with schools based on the assignments given to you. As a person, you are confident, stable, and have the ability to create and maintain trusting relationships. You are positively inclined to share your knowledge with others and want to develop both yourself and the organization you work in. Great weight will be given to personal suitability.
