Psychologist with Specialist Function at Adult Rehabilitation Services

Description:

Would you like to be part of developing the future of rehabilitation services? We are seeking a curious and creative psychologist for our Adult Rehabilitation Services! Your Workplace Rehabilitation, Vision and Assistive Devices is a region-spanning operation that offers interprofessional and specialized interventions and assistive devices for children, adolescents, and adults with long-term functional disabilities. At Adult Rehabilitation Services, in addition to psychologists, curators, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists work together. Discussions about shared professional and rehabilitation-relevant issues occur continuously within and across professional boundaries. We place great emphasis on staying updated on current research in the field of rehabilitation, and on basing our work on evidence-based methods as much as possible. The target groups for Adult Rehabilitation Services are individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, mobility impairments, and acquired brain injuries. Our patients have one or more of these difficulties. The goal of all interventions in our operations is to optimize the opportunity for individuals with a permanent functional disability to live as independent a life as possible based on their own circumstances. With us, you will find driven and engaged colleagues. We have systematic occupational health and safety practices and place significant focus on onboarding and mentoring new employees. We also conduct structured development work focused on evidence-based interventions both individually and in groups, as well as an expanded range of e-services. As one of the region's health-promoting workplaces, we offer joint wellness activities and wellness hours. The psychology team has access to case supervision and there are good opportunities for further training. Your Work Tasks The psychologist's work tasks at Adult Rehabilitation Services include individual treatment interventions and group treatment, assessments of cognitive functioning levels, and consultative support to staff groups. Our work is directed toward all patients in the operation. You will quickly gain insight into the breadth of the neuropsychiatric field and see the value of pragmatic interventions as a complement to traditional treatment work. To meet the needs of our target groups, the work also involves offering consultative support to staff groups. We use evidence-based methods such as TBA and PBS with close collaboration with other professionals in the team. Another important task for the psychologist is to read, assess, and process incoming referrals. Psychologists participate in the operation's development work and continuously work on psychology-specific development issues. Current areas include, for example, development of e-services and expanding the range of group activities for both patients and their families. In your role as a psychologist with specialist function, in addition to the above, you will drive the development and quality assurance of care from a psychological perspective. The work includes clinical interventions focused on complex assessment and treatment cases, as well as leading operational and methodological development both internally and in collaboration with others. You will also contribute to maintaining and developing psychological interventions together with the psychology team, strengthen the scientific approach by monitoring new research and guidelines, mentor colleagues, and engage in dialogue with operational management on overarching issues from a psychological perspective. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are seeking a licensed psychologist with specialist competence in psychological treatment, neuropsychology, or the psychology of functional disabilities. As a person, we see that you have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change. You are creative and often come up with ideas and new approaches to work-related issues. We also see that you have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and that people have different circumstances. You therefore need to have the ability to adapt how you communicate messages to your audience. We consider experience in rehabilitation and/or with rehabilitation's target groups to be advantageous but not a requirement. We are committed to finding the right person for the assignment and will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
