We are seeking a qualified accounting economist, primarily focused on ongoing accounting, financial statements and annual reports, and reporting to the state. The Finance Unit also handles customer, supplier, and asset processes, certain payroll-related tasks, collection of public-law fees, and controlling matters. Job Responsibilities You are expected to work broadly within the accounting process, follow our internal control documents and decisions, and take into account laws and regulations in the field. Over time, you will also gain insight into and work with other areas the unit is responsible for, such as customer/supplier, cash management, and controlling. The work also involves handling/registration in multiple systems, written and oral contact with Swedish and foreign customers. The work involves close collaboration with colleagues in the Finance and Controlling Unit and other colleagues in the organization. The unit strives to work broadly across multiple areas, so you should feel comfortable working in several different processes and systems. We are looking for someone with: - An academic degree in economics or equivalent. - At least five years of experience in qualified accounting work within a government agency. - Experience preparing or coordinating government agencies' annual reports. - Good knowledge of FÅB, FBF, and the Statskontoret's regulations. - Experience working in ERP systems. - Good collaboration skills and experience working in cross-functional teams. Who Are You? It is meritorious if you have completed the government's controller training, have experience developing budget basis and financial management in the public sector. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have experience with fee-financed operations and experience with Qlik Sense or similar analysis tools, as well as experience with process improvement and internal governance and control. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who enjoys working in cross-functional teams with accountants, controllers, HR specialists, lawyers, and operational representatives. You are analytical and can translate complex financial information into clear decision-making documents with an understanding of the connections between operations, economics, and government agency management. The role requires you to work independently, be thorough and quality-conscious, and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver results within given timeframes. You express yourself very well in Swedish in speech and writing and can communicate financial matters in a pedagogical and business-adapted manner. Furthermore, you contribute to a trusting collaborative climate and build good relationships both within and outside your own organization. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
