The Technical Administration is responsible for the areas of Real Estate, Streets/Parks/Recreation, Water & Sewage, Waste Management, and Services. Central to the Technical Administration are the Projects and Governance unit. The unit is responsible for the majority of the municipality's physical investment projects in real estate, infrastructure, technical infrastructure, and community development. Over the coming years, the administration will drive a series of exciting projects related to new residential areas, industrial zones, sports facilities, and the establishment of a new military regiment. As a project manager with us, you will have a central role in this development and the opportunity to make an impact from idea through completion in an organization with forward-thinking vision and high ambition levels. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a project manager, you are responsible for driving the municipality's investment and development projects through the entire process from early planning stages to completion, final inspection, and handover. You work closely with contractors, consultants, departments, and other partners to ensure that projects are executed according to set objectives, requirements, schedules, and budgets. The role involves many contact points, and you will collaborate broadly within the municipality, which makes the work both varied and developmental. The role includes, among other things: • leading and coordinating projects of various sizes and complexity • being responsible for project economics, schedules, quality, and follow-up • maintaining ongoing dialogue with contractors and other external parties • participating in procurements and contract management • ensuring that projects are implemented according to the municipality's recently developed space allocation process • participating in inspections and handover to departments and administration QUALIFICATIONS Formal Competencies We are looking for someone with a degree in civil engineering, construction, installation, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. If you have worked for several years with financial management and/or had financial responsibility, and have good knowledge of the community planning process and project economics, this can offset the education/experience requirements. You have solid experience leading larger projects and feel confident driving projects forward in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. It is a merit if you have: • experience working in a politically governed organization • experience preparing tender documents and building specifications • experience with procurement according to the Public Procurement Act Personal Competencies To thrive in the role, you need to be self-driven and able to take responsibility for advancing your work with high quality and delivery. You are structured and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on your tasks in a way that creates order and clarity in projects. At the same time, you are flexible and adapt easily when circumstances change, without losing focus on the goal. You have a good holistic perspective and can see both details and context, which allows you to make well-founded decisions and contribute to long-term sustainable solutions. You are clear in your communication and create understanding by expressing yourself clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. As a person, you are relationship-building and enjoy collaborations where you build trust and good relationships with both internal and external parties. You are stable and maintain composure even in pressured situations, which allows you to work safely and methodically even when projects are complex or time pressure is high. You have patience and an understanding of the decision-making processes that occur in the public sector. Employment Type: Permanent position. Duration: Indefinite.
