About the Position Would you like to work on issues that make a real difference – for both the business and the sustainable transition? We're now looking for a colleague to join Södra Cell in Värö who wants to drive energy and environmental matters forward. This is a parental leave replacement position starting immediately and lasting at least one year. What You'll Work On at Södra In this role, you'll become an important part of our sustainability efforts. You'll coordinate energy matters, monitor results, and drive initiatives that contribute to high energy performance and regulatory compliance. You'll be part of the sustainability team in Värö – a team where we collaborate, develop, and support each other. Here you'll work close to operations, have influence, and contribute to something that matters – both now and for the future. You'll have a varied and operationally focused assignment where you work on energy and environmental issues together with several parts of the organization. The position is a parental leave replacement, which means you'll have the opportunity to quickly take on responsibility in the role and contribute to important work in the business. You will, among other things: coordinate energy matters and contribute to a well-functioning energy management system monitor energy performance, consolidate and carry out reporting, audits, and energy budgeting hold the energy management group together contribute to work related to water treatment and other sustainability initiatives, such as driving and coordinating work related to conditions in environmental permits, mainly concerning emissions to water work closely with project managers and other functions in development and improvement work Here you'll combine analysis and structure with collaboration and dialogue – in a role where you make a real difference in the business. Who Are We Looking For? We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in energy, chemistry, and environmental matters, and who thrives in a role where you can combine technology, analysis, and collaboration. You enjoy creating order in complex issues, driving work forward, and building good relationships with people around you. To be a suitable candidate, we see that you have: a degree in civil engineering or equivalent education in energy, chemistry, and environment experience from projects and process operations preferably experience from industry It's a merit if you have: experience working with water treatment good understanding of, and experience working with, environmental legislation As a person, you are: structured and analytical driven and get things done a problem solver who enjoys taking on complex issues responsible and self-directed good at collaborating and building relationships accustomed to – and enjoy – working in projects You thrive in an environment where safety always comes first and where we work together to develop.
