Sunnebo preschool is located in a scenic villa area in Saltsjö Boo, Nacka. The preschool currently has two classrooms with capacity for three. On our two classrooms we work with younger ages (1-3 years) and older ages (3-5 years) respectively. The house is detached and has a fantastic setting and large outdoor yard. We eat in a dining hall and have our own teaching kitchen with a cook. Our preschool's profile is to work with exploratory pedagogy inspired by Reggio Emilia and to be a learning organization for both adults and children. The childcare provider's task is to give children a safe and stimulating stay at preschool where the child and learning are in focus. Providing care, playing and being outdoors are important parts of the work. In your work you ensure that all children receive attention, that all get to participate in play and that no child comes to harm. Everyone on the team shares in the pedagogical work. The team has collective responsibility for the preschool's goals and ideas, as formulated in the preschool's policy documents and curriculum, to permeate the operations. As a childcare provider you should function as a sounding board and conversation partner to your colleagues and you should listen/share your experiences and theoretical knowledge.
