We are now seeking three personal assistants for a man in his 50s who has a great sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. He lives in a villa in Svalöv town center where his wife and adult son also live. The user has ALS, a disease that causes the body to become increasingly weaker and changes and limits the person's circumstances over time. Due to the nature and prognosis of the disease, the work is mentally and psychologically demanding. An expectation and a requirement is that the personal assistants employed have a positive and solution-focused approach, combined with a generous dose of humor. Focus on possibilities. He would appreciate personal assistants who have the ability to suggest various activities. He enjoys outings such as to the forest, seaside, walks, etc. Who are you? About the position and schedule The user is entitled to assistance 24 hours a day. You will be part of a work team of seven people total. Daytime and evenings: We work with double staffing. So you always have a colleague on site. Nighttime: You work alone. Currently, this involves being awake nights. 3 position(s). JOB DUTIES Since our client needs support with all physical activities, you become his extended arms and legs. You assist with everything that forms the basis of daily life and ensure that his everyday life and family life runs smoothly. Your tasks include: Everything in the home: Manage daily chores in the villa, such as cleaning, laundry, and other general household tasks. Food and health: Plan shopping, buy groceries and other goods, prepare meals, and assist with meals. Personal care: Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and transfers. Administration and contacts: Book appointments and assist with contacts regarding doctor visits, dental appointments, and other societal services. Activities: Accompany him on outings and help him carry out the ideas you come up with together. QUALIFICATIONS No formal education is required for the position. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities and suitability. However, it is a merit if you are a trained nursing assistant and have knowledge and/or experience working with people who have ALS.
