How you contribute in the role of personal assistant With this woman, as an assistant you will do many different things since the client is mobility-impaired in much of her body. You will need to help with transfers, meals, and hygiene as well as drive a handicap bus so she can visit friends and participate in activities, etc. Since she is very fragile, you need to be very careful and cautious. You need to be able to read her subtle signals since communication is limited. She also requires several machines such as a cough assist machine and ventilator, has a tracheostomy, and a floor lift. You will learn to use these and more independently. Some nursing tasks are included. Work hours vary. Day/evening shifts and awake nights as well as weekend duty occur. Your competence and experience We are looking for a woman with life and work experience. As a person, you are thorough, empathetic, attentive, and responsible. It is important that you can see what needs to be done and take your own initiative, as the client has limited communication. Since the work requires you to be able to read and receive detailed oral instructions, you need to have a fluent command of Swedish in both spoken and written form. A Class B driver's license is required. It is advantageous if you have experience with tracheostomy, ventilators, and other machines such as lifts and cough assist machines. The employer considers it advantageous if you are trained as a nurse assistant or have equivalent care education. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
